African Day Celebration in Muscat

I had nightlife fun like I have not done in a LONG WHILE (Yeah!!!!! …it’s been a while).
Being a Mum and also living in this part of the world, you would know that your nightlife would gradually become a history. But last weekend brought those nightlife memories back (winks …it was mad FUN!!!).

The Africa Day Celebration is a yearly event here in Muscat. This year was the Golden Celebration, and it was celebrated at the Jabreen Ballroom, Intercontinental Hotel Muscat on the 24th of May 2013. This event is also a charity event. Last year, the proceeds from the Africa Day event was sent to Little Saints Orphanage Lagos, and this years’ proceeds would go to Hoffman Memorial Children Home in Uganda.

The African Day Celebration was great with lots to eat and drink (alcoholic drinks were like water …I had to pinch myself to be sure I’m still in this part of the world …Hahaha!!!), and also lots of dancing …to African Music of course!!!

I don’t know why this picture at the entrance uploaded this way …but after a night like that, you will indeed love AFRICA.

The event started at 7.30pm but when We (My hubby and I) left around midnight, it was still rocking…

There were lots to eat and drink

With African dishes; including the Nigerian pepper-soup

Ethiopian Tea

We listened and danced to live music

…And finally lights out!!! Time to dance to some African beats

 Definitely a night well spent…
